Philisamalo
The family behind the name
Philisamalo is more than a name.
It is a story shaped by family, travel, and discovery.
The name itself brings together the people behind the journey: Philippe, Isabelle, Maève, and Lohan.
For many years, travel has been a shared experience, exploring different countries and cultures together.
Along the way, a unique thread emerged—the discovery of spinning tops from around the world. Simple in form, yet rich in history and tradition, they became a way to connect places, cultures, and memories.
At the same time, these journeys inspired Isabelle as a painter. Her art blends technical mastery with a luminous palette inspired by chakras, energy fields, and spiritual traditions. She invites you to meditate on life’s dualities: silence and sound, softness and strength, individuality and unity, translating her inner world into vibrant visual poetry.
Today, Philisamalo brings together these two perspectives: a visual expression through art, and a cultural exploration through spinning tops.
It is an invitation to travel differently—to see, to observe, and to discover the stories carried by both objects and places.
